What is TURNITIN?

"Turnitin is a web-based software that provides a service (for the use of lecturers and students) checking written material for the purpose of avoiding plagiarism cases from occurring. Written materials will be compared with various sources including websites, books, newspapers, magazines, journals and all written materials checked through the Turnitin database."
